Our Current Capital Campaign

Our beloved pool is 50 years old.  Some of the infrastructure is also that old.

We have several items that need immediate attention.  The top two are closely intertwined...

Concrete leveling and repair:  On the north end of the pool, the concrete has cracked and started to pull away from the pool.  This causes several issues.

1. The ground is uneven and people can fall

2. Water no longer flows away from the pool edge, getting in to the ground, freezing, expanding, and stressing the pool

3. The lane line anchor gets weakened.  If it pops out, we do not have enough lanes to run a swim meet

That leads us to...

New Pool Cover:  Our current method of using a pool cover was grandfathered in.  As this winter is likely its last, we will need to upgrade to the new style, which will require concrete anchors and some concrete leveling on the east side of the pool.  We can't do either of these without the other.

We have diligently gotten quotes from businesses in the area.  These two items are expected to be close to $35,000....

​

From there, we will need some resurfacing on the baby pool, some new fence posts, new chairs and loungers (wouldn't we all love that!), bathroom repair (tiles, at al.), awnings for the baby pool area and the snack bar (another 8k)....

As we look further forward, we will need to start building our reserves for items like:  Main pool resurfacing, playground equipment, roofing.... It really is never ending.
