Our Beloved Pool is 50+ Years Old
Some of the infrastructure is also that old. We have several items that need immediate attention. Here's where your donations go.
Priority Projects
These two items are closely intertwined and estimated to cost close to $35,000.
Concrete Leveling & Repair
On the north end of the pool, the concrete has cracked and started to pull away from the pool.
- The ground is uneven and people can fall
- Water no longer flows away from the pool edge, getting into the ground, freezing, expanding, and stressing the pool
- The lane line anchor gets weakened. If it pops out, we do not have enough lanes to run a swim meet
New Pool Cover
Our current method of using a pool cover was grandfathered in. As this winter is likely its last, we will need to upgrade to the new style, which will require concrete anchors and some concrete leveling on the east side of the pool.
- Cannot install without completing concrete work first
- Current cover method is no longer up to code
- New style requires concrete anchors on the east side
